This excellent film deals with the futility of war in the trenches in World War I when a unit commander in the French army (Douglas) must contend with both the mutiny of his men and the impossible decisions of glory-seeking generals. The French army considered the film an affront to their honor and prohibited exhibition in France until 1975. This original Yugoslavian poster is in very good condition.
