Original United Artists Insert Poster (14×36) for the Ken Russell romantic drama, WOMEN IN LOVE (1969) starring Alan Bates, Oliver Reed, Glenda Jackson, and Jennie Linden. Adapted from a novel by D. H. Lawrence, this film represents one of the best literary adaptations in modern film history. The cast is nearly magical in dissecting the lives of four intelligent and educated young people in the British industrial Midlands in the early 1920s. Jackson who was relatively unknown at the time won her first Oscar for her magnificent performance. The film was also nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Original United Artists 1978 Re-Release One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Philippe de Broca war drama, KING OF HEARTS (1966)—starring Pierre Brasseur, Jean-Claude Brialy, Genevieve Bujold, and Alan Bates. During the latter part of World War I, Private Plumpick (Bates) is chosen to diffuse a bomb planted by the Germans. He is chased into an insane asylum where the inmates are convinced he is the “King of Hearts.” This delightful and surreal anti-war fantasy achieved a cult status when it was first released and has continued to charm audiences ever since. This original re-release one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition, with only a scuffmark in the upper right hand area (visible on the photo).

Original Columbia Pictures Pressbook (11×17) for the Silvio Narizzano romantic comedy, GEORGY GIRL (1966) starring James Mason, Alan Bates, Lynn Redgrave, and Charlotte Rampling. This is the story of a vivacious woman (Redgrave) who must dodge the amourous advances of her father’s middle-aged employer (Mason) while still trying to live a glamorous life in swinging London of the mid 1960s. Vanessa Redgrave was slated to play the title role but backed out at the last minute and was replaced by her sister Lynn. This original 12-page pressbook is in fine plus condition, with modest wear but no excisions or cuts. Also included is an additional insert of ad mats.
