This excellent film chronicles the struggle of Anne Sullivan (Bancroft) to teach the blind and deaf Helen Keller (Duke) to communicate. The seemingly insurmountable obstacle of “seeing” and “hearing” an unseen and unheard world is approached in a profound yet accessible manner. Bancroft and Duke could not have been better; indeed, Bancroft won the Oscar for Best Actress, and Duke won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The film was also nominated for three other Academy Awards, including Best Director for Penn and Best Screenplay for William Gibson. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition, with only one very minor fold separation and wrinkling along fold line.

Director Nichols won the Oscar for Best Director. This original half sheet poster is rolled and is in fine plus condition. There is a bit of scribbling -almost unobtrusive in the white background area that prevent this poster from being graded higher. This is a very simple fix for an experienced restorer. Also a very small tear in the top border area. The half sheet poster presents the best image of Hoffman and Bancroft together. In bed no less! Hard to find in this format.
