This is Hitchcock’s next to last film, and many critics rank it among his best. The story revolves around a serial killer who is savagely raping London women and then strangling them with a necktie. Scripted with ghoulish humor by Anthony Schaffer, it is the first Hitchcock film with nude scenes. Indeed, Hitchcock presents a sequence that many believe equals the notorious “shower scene” in PSYCHO (1960)—a horrific rape and slow strangulation that leaves the viewer simply stunned. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor fold separations, small tears, and a missing chip in the upper right border.
