This is an originally 20th Century-Fox Presskit (9 x 11.5) for the 1975 John Frankenheimer action/thriller sequel THE FRENCH CONNECTION II, staring Gene Hackman, Fernando Rey, Bernard Fresson, and Cathleen Nesbitt. Hackman delivers a virtuoso performance as Popeye Doyle—the hard-nosed cop sent to Marseilles to unearth the shifty drug smuggler Alain Charnier (Rey), the man that got away in the original 1971 film. This original presskit is in used but good condition. The cover is worn and has two small tears on the right side. There are 10 different B&W studio action stills (an additional three duplicates are also included) in their original brown protective sleeve. There are also press releases of cast and production staff, a production information guide, a history of the Marseilles connection, and 17 other short items. There are also biographies of Frankenheimer, Hackman, Rey, Fresson, and Nesbitt.
