We had seen this story before; the film is a remake of Renoir’s BOUDU SAVED FROM DROWNING (1932). Nolte stars as a down-and-out bum who tries to drown himself in the swimming pool of a rich but dysfunctional family. When the husband (Dreyfuss) saves him and takes him in over the strenuous objections of his social-climbing wife (Midler), the real fun begins. Before long, the homeless bum is running the whole house and trying to straighten out the lives of everyone in the family. This original one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition.
