Original United Artists 24 Sheet Poster (9 ft x 20 ft) for the Norman Panama spy comedy, THE ROAD TO HONG KONG (1962) starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Joan Collins, and Robert Morley. In the seventh and last of their “road” films, Hope and Crosby return as con-men who get involved in Cold War intrigue about a secret Soviet formula for a new and improved rocket fuel. Peter Sellers steals the show with his uncredited Indian neurologist cameo. This original billboard-sized poster is unassembled but in very fine condition.

Original United Artists Window Card (14×22) for the Melvin Frank romantic comedy, THE FACTS OF LIFE (1960)—starring Bob Hope and Lucille Ball. When the first Lucille Ball comedy series came to an end on CBS television, the red headed comic turned back to motion pictures, and with not much success. Her first outing after I LOVE LUCY was this matrimonial comedy with Bob Hope, rather adult for the time. The window card is in near mint condition. The widow card has been stamped with the theater and playdate.

Hope plays Michael Joseph Valentine, a New Yorker who just happens to the son of a Eastern European monarch, who is drawn into a comic power vacuum and an attempt to place him on the throne. But not before lots of shenanigans occur. Typical Bob Hope fare gets the big Paramount treatment. A very nice portrait card of Hope, William Bendix and Signe Hasso. Fine plus condition. Some edge wear on the top edge. Colors vivid.

This is an original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Melville Shavelson biographical drama, BEAU JAMES (1957) starring Bob Hope, Vera Miles, and Paul Douglas. Based on the biography by Gene Fowler, this is the story of the political career of Jimmy Walker, the flamboyant and somewhat corrupt mayor of New York City from 1926-1932. The film was Hope’s last attempt at a serious dramatic role, and although his performance was good, he realized his real appeal was in making comedies. This original one sheet poster is in very fine condition.

This is an original RKO One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the David Butler musical comedy, THEY GOT ME COVERED (1943) starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. Hope plays a bumbling news correspondent who uncovers an Axis spy ring on the eve of America’s entry into World War II. In an adventure that covers Moscow, New York City, Washington, and Niagara Falls—Hope comes across international cutthroats, femme fatales, undercover agents, blonde burlesque queens, Axis saboteurs, and a crazy Civil War vet. Hope and Lamour have fabulous chemistry together, and their comic timing as a team is impeccable. This original one sheet poster is in used but good condition. Two triangular chips are missing from the top border area.
