Original 20th Century Fox Three Sheet Poster (41×81) for the Leslie H. Martinson tounge-in-cheek crime-comedy, BATMAN (1966), starring Adam West, Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether, Cesar Romero, Burgess Meredith, and Frank Gorshin. This sixties big screen version of the popular TV series is a wonderful parody of the old movie serials. The Dynamic Duo fight all of their favorite arch villains (The Catwoman, The Joker, The Penguin, and The Riddler) who team up to take over the world. Shot in the same campy style as the TV series, the whole cast seems like they are having a great time. Adam West’s performance has been described as “sublimely surreal.” This original three sheet is in very good condition, but should be linen backed. There are some fold separations that need repair. Colors are bright.

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the John Schlesinger dramatic thriller, THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975)—starring Donald Sutherland, Karen Black, Burgess Meredith, and William Atherton. This is harrowing tale of an art director (Atherton) who falls in love and attempts to make a young woman (Black) into a movie star. With excellent design, a literate script, outstanding ensemble acting performances, and great cinematography—this film has much to recommend. Although there is a constant feeling of foreboding in this story of the rancid side of the American dream, the ending is one of the most horrendous in cinema history. This original one sheet poster is folded and in good condition. Art by David Edward Byrd.
