This original one sheet is in very fine condition – good color, no fold separations.

Original Paramount Pictures Presskit (9 x 11.5) for the Robert Aldrich sports comedy THE LONGEST YARD (1974) staring Burt Reynolds, Eddie Albert, and Ed Lauter. Reynolds delivers perhaps his best performance as the ex-NFL quarterback who gets sent to prison and there organizes a football team made up of the inmates to play against a team of the guards. The “big game” turns out to be one of the most hilarious sporting events ever seen on film. The film was remade in 2005 with Reynolds now playing the part of the coach. This original Presskit has no press releases or production notes but does have 24 original studio B&W stills with their descriptors in very fine condition.

This is a remake of the popular Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell comedy, HIS GIRL FRIDAY (1940) but updates the newspaper world to the cable TV world. Sully (Reynolds) is a producer of a cable news network program where Christy (Turner) is his star reporter. But Christy wants to quit the news channel and marry Blaine (Reeve), a sporting goods manufacturer. Sully is unwilling to let her go and tries to sabotage their plans in any way he can. This original one sheet poster is rolled and in fine plus condition.

Original Universal/RKO One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Colin Higgins musical comedy, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (1982) starring Burt Reynolds, Dolly Parton, Dom DeLuise, and Charles Durning. This is the film version of the popular stage success about a Texas bordello that is eventually closed down by a hypocritical advocate for decency. Durning was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The film received two Golden Globe nominations: Best Picture-Musical/Comedy and Best Actress in a musical/comedy for Parton. The artwork for the poster is by New York-based artist Dan Gouzee, also responsible for some of the James Bond posters. Originally folded, this one sheet poster is in very good condition.
