Group of Eight Original Universal Pictures B&W Studio Still Photographs (8×10) for the George Lucas teen classic, AMERICAN GRAFFITI (1973) starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Cindy Williams, and Candy Clark. This wonderful nostalgic mix of pathos and humor is certainly the best film about teenagers ever made. Shot in 29 days on a tight budget, the film is set in a small town in California on the last night in 1962 this group of teenagers will be together after graduation. The wonderful writing, fine performances, and superb directing produced a film with characters with whom nearly everyone in 1973 could identify. The film received 5 Academy Award nominations, including Best Supporting Actress for Clark, Best Director for Lucas, and Best Picture. This group of still photographs vary from very fine to near mint condition.

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the John Huston sports drama, FAT CITY (1972)—starring Stacy Keach, Jeff Bridges, Susan Tyrrell, and Candy Clark. Many of Huston’s films deal with the lives and concerns of lower middle class working men and women. While this downbeat and realist drama is a character study of two boxers, all of the performances are uniformly outstanding. You come to care about these losers as they stumble through life kidding themselves about where they have been, where they are now, and where they are going. Tyrrell received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition, with some minor fold stresses and wrinkling.

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Jonathan Demme cult classic, HANDLE WITH CARE (1977), which had the alternate title of CITIZEN’S BAND, starring Paul Le Mat, Candy Clark, Bruce McGill, and Roberts Blossom. This quirky comedy interlaces slice of life stories of several characters in a small town united by their use of CB (citizen’s band) radio. Though not initially successful at the box office, the film subsequently received critical acclaim and became a cult classic, the fourth film by director Jonathan Demme. Originally folded, this one sheet poster is in very good condition.
