JEKYLL AND HYDE… TOGETHER AGAIN (1982) 1355

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Jerry Belson science fiction spoof, JEKYLL AND HYDE…TOGETHER AGAIN (1982) starring Mark Blankfield, Bess Armstrong, Krista Errickson, Tim Thomerson, and Cassandra Peterson. This film tells the story of Dr. Jekyll (Blankfield) who discovers a new drug that can turn a shy and timid doctor into a wild and sex-crazed animal. Cassandra Peterson, TV’s infamous Elvira Mistress of the Dark, appropriately plays the role of “Busty Nurse” in this sex romp. Some critics think this spoof on the 80s drug culture is a riot, while others think all the drug humor is dated and boorish. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

For those of you who know who Elvira is, we’ll recap it here (from wikipedia): Cassandra Peterson (born September 17, 1951) is an American actress best known for her on-screen horror hostess character Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She gained fame on Los Angeles television station KHJ wearing a black, gothic, cleavage-enhancing gown as host of Movie Macabre, a weekly horror movie presentation. Her wickedly vampish appearance is offset by her comical character, quirky/quick-witted personality, and valley girl-type speech.

For the rest of you, get a LIFE! Every sixteen year old boy – and some older – needs this poster in his bedroom. The wonderful Cassandra Peterson
created this lively persona for her show business career — but not before she met Fellini and got a bit part in FELLINI’S ROMA. Unfolded, near mint condition.

Original one sheet poster for THE WORKING GIRLS (1974). Sarah Kennedy, Lynne Guthrie, and Laurie Rose Star in this sexploitation film written and directed by cult cinema heroine Stephanie Rothman. Honey (Kennedy), Jill (Guthrie), and Denise (Rose) are three wily, wandering, willing women looking to make a buck any way they can in 1974 LA. Rothman’s films differed from many cult classics of the era in that they “sexploited” men as often as women, pandering to the perverts in both genders. THE WORKING GIRLS also contains a brief nude scene of Cassandra Peterson (of later Elvira fame), which makes the film a must-see as far as most guys are concerned. And by the way, also starring Solomon Sturges – who will never be confused with Preston.
