Original Universal Pictures scene lobby cards for the Alan Jones western, HONOR OF THE RANGE (1934) starring Ken Maynard, Cecilia Parker, Fred Kohler, and Frank Hagney. In this film Maynard plays a double role – that of a sheriff and also of his evil twin brother. Disguised as a English song and dance man, Sheriff Maynard goes underground and tracks the evil twin down when his girl is kidnapped. All this is rather bizarre, but goodness wins out in the end when the evil twin repents. These cards are typical of Universal Pictures westerns of the early thirties. Lots of action-filled scenes. But also one really nice closeup two-shot of Ken Maynard and actor James A. Marcus. Also seen in some of the cards are actress Cecilia Parker. We will split up these cards if desired. Please contact us about this option. Fine plus condition to near mint condition. Some cards have small holes where the cards were pinned up at one time. Overall these cards are in splendid shape for their age. These cards came from the famous Royal Theater Collection (Canada.)
