Original 1960 Re-Release Belgian Poster (13×21) the Andre De Toth horror classic, HOUSE OF WAX (1953) starring Vincent Price, Frank Lovejoy, Phyllis Kirk, and Carolyn Jones. In the early 1950s, box office receipts were going down because of television. Film studios and movie theaters were looking for any gimmick that would bring audiences back to the theaters. 3-D was one such device, and this film was Warner Brothers’ first 3-D film. This wonderful, creepy scare-fest also has sumptuous sets, lush color, and memorable performances—especially from Vincent Price. This original Belgian poster is folded and in very fine condition.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (1968) 1857

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Sergio Leone western masterpiece, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (1968) starring Henry Fonda, Claudi Cardinale, Jason Robards, and Charles Bronson. This film tells the story of a young woman, Jill McBain (Cardinale), who moves from New Orleans to frontier Utah—only to find her husband and family have been slaughtered. A man names Cheyenne (Robards), a suspect in the murder, befriends her and offers to hunt down the real killer. Director Leone redefined the western with lots more feelings and emotions. He transformed the romantic notion of the West as an exiting and generally nice place to be with an honest portrayal of the sheer harshness of western life. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition—with some fold distress and small creases, a few minor dings, and a small fold separation at the fold intersection.

TWENTY FOUR different Original MGM production stills (8×10 black and white glossy) for the Vincente Minnelli melodrama THE SANDPIPER, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton,Eva Marie Saint, and Charles Bronson. Taylor is a bohemian painter living gorgeously in the Big Sur area of the California Pacific Coast. Richard Burton is the schoolmaster of an (Episcopal!) school for boys, married to the the dutiful Eva Marie Saint. Mix the two and you have an illicit romance set against the driftwood and sea gulls. This one is a guilty pleasure. MGM’s idea seemed to be to exploit the white hot fame of moviedom’s most famous couple while at the same time trying to drag the Burton’s back somewhere near respectability. Bronson is Taylor’s hunky boyfriend. These stills give a wonderful peep into the production of the movie. Condition is near mint on these fine stills. NOT ALL THESE STILLS ARE PICTURES. Inquire about the others through the website. We’ll send you photos of the rest!
