This is the second installment in the Jackson’s masterful adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel. In this film Frodo (Wood) and Sam (Astin) continue their quest to Mordor, the dwelling place of the Dark Lord Sauron, in their mission to destroy the One Ring. The choreography of the battle scenes, the visual effects, the pacing, acting, cinematography, and music all work together in perfection. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, and it won the Oscars for Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects. This original double-sided one sheet poster is rolled and in fine plus condition, with minor edge wear.

Original American International Pictures Half Sheet Poster (22×28) for the Gordon Hessler horror classic, THE OBLONG BOX (1969) starring Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Alister Williamson. This was the first on-screen teaming of horror icons Price and Lee. The screenplay (based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe) is about a man (Williamson) who is kept locked in his room by his brother (Price). He has been horribly disfigured during an African voodoo ceremony, and , as a result, has gone completely mad. After faking his death, he seeks revenge on those he feels are responsible for his condition. The film was besieged by a number of production problems. Screenwriter Lawrence Huntington died shortly after completing the script. Also, Gordon Hessler replaced the original director Michael Reeves because of his dependence on drugs and suicidal tendencies. Reeves actually did commit suicide in February of 1969 during the pre-production of the film. This half sheet is folded and in fine condition; fold lines are apparent as in the photograph.

All of these tales are under the investigatory eye of an inspector from Scotland Yard. Screenwriter Robert Bloch, best known for PSYCHO, delivers a frightfest of fun for fans of the genre. Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Terence Fisher horror classic, THE MUMMY (1959) starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, and Yvonne Furneaux. This film was a British remake of the 1932 Universal classic starring Boris Karloff, but in this new version Christopher Lee makes the title character more powerful and threatening than Karloff. This film capped off an impressive initial run of horror movies from Hammer Studions, and it is beautifully filmed and wonderfully acted. This original one sheet poster is in very fine condition.
