There is one new character, Duane’s wife played by Annie Potts, who literally steals the show. Many critics have commented that the film is not really capable of standing on its own. Director Brooks plays Dr. Richard Thorndyke, psychologist and chief of staff of the “Psychoneurotic Institute for the Very, VERY Nervous.” A bizarre, suspenseful and wildly comic plot ensues parodying the great Alfred Hitchcock, San Francisco-centric films from THE BIRDS to VERTIGO. The design for this Polish poster features a fittingly silly silhouette of Brooks as he comically squats and hunts his prey — a murderous fiend. Art on this poster is by Jakub Erol. Very Fine.

Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the John Milius crime biography, DILLINGER (1973)– starring Warren Oates, Ben Johnson, Michelle Phillips, and Cloris Leachman. Written and Directed by John Milius, this film about the gangster John Dillinger has little to offer in the way of accuracy. Dillinger was the subject of several films, but this one seems to have totally fantasized the subject. The movie is lavishly mounted with lots of antique cars and costumes. The wonderful Warren Oates plays Dillinger, but is largely wasted. This poster shows Oates with his machine gun. Very good condition with a some rumpling.
