Original One Sheet Poster for the Eugene V. Brewster film (now lost), THE MILLION DOLLAR BEAUTY (1921) starring Corliss Palmer. Miss Palmer, who had no theatrical or dramatic training, won Motion Picture Magazine’s Fame and Fortune Contest in 1920 which included a role in a film. Eugene V. Brewster, who was the owner of the magazine, developed a strong romantic attraction to Palmer and enthusiastically promoted her career, which reached its apex in 1926 when she appeared with Charlie Chase and Oliver Hardy in a popular short, BROMO AND JULIET (1926). Her career was fairly short; indeed, her last film was HONEYMOON LANE (1931). One of the finest portrait one sheets we have ever seen, exquisitely executed. This rare and beautiful stone lithograph one sheet poster is linen-backed and in near mint condition.
