This is an original Warner Brothers Scene Lobby Card (11×14) for the 1946 Howard Hawks film-noir masterpiece, THE BIG SLEEP, starring Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Dorothy Malone. One of the best Raymond Chandler novels brought to the big screen, it is a story of private-eye Philip Marlowe (Bogart) who is hired to keep track of General Sternwood’s youngest daughter, but in the process he falls in love with her older sister Vivian (Bacall). The delightful and witty banter between the two stars is one of the high points of this film. Though first performing opposite each other in TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT (1944), this film cemented the Bogart/Bacall on-screen and off-screen love affair. This original scene lobby card with a wonderful image of the two screen icons is in fine to very fine condition with only minor surface and edge wear in the white borders.

This is an original Warner Brothers Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for the Gordon Douglas musical drama, SINCERELY YOURS (1955) starring Liberace, Joanne Dru, and Dorothy Malone. This film is the story of a famous concert pianist, who at the peak of his career suffers a loss of hearing that threatens both his career and his personal life. Liberace had a very popular TV program at this time, and Warner Bros. signed a contract to make two movies starring Liberace. This film did so poorly at the box office that Warner paid off the contract rather than make a second movie. For fans of Liberace, however, there is a lot of wonderful piano playing ranging from the classics to boogie woogie. SINCERELY YOURS is a remake of an older film from Warner’s, THE MAN WHO PLAYED GOD. This original six sheet poster is linen-backed and in very good condition. Presents beautifully.
