Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Alfred Hitchcock comedy thriller, THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY (1955) starring Edmund Gwenn, Mildred Natwick, John Forsythe, and Shirley MacLaine in her first screen roll. While many Hitchcock films had humor in them, this was full-fledged black comedy, which was mostly a subtle satire of 50’s morality. The acting performances are superb and are the most delightful aspect of the film– as there are no expected Hitchcock action sequences, like a spectacular climax on a national monument. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

This is an original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41) style A for the Archie Mayo romantic comedy classic, CHARLEY’S AUNT (1941) starring Jack Benny, James Ellison, and Richard Haydn. Set in Oxford in 1890, Charley Wyckham (Haydn) and Jack Chesney (Ellison) blackmail fellow student Fancourt Babberly (Benny) to pose as Charley’s Brazilian Aunt Donna Lucia, so “she” can be the chaperone on their amorous adventures with the niece and ward of crusty Stephen Spettigue. Complications arise when Babberly becomes the love object of both old Spettigue and Sir Francis Chesney. And then Charley’s real aunt shows up. Many critics consider this wonderful cross-dressing English farce to be among Benny’s greatest and funniest roles. This original one sheet is folded and in very fine plus condition.
