This lighthearted film revolves around one of history’s great military blunders — by Hannibal, around 217 B.C.. The Carthaginian conqueror failed to march on Rome when he had their imperial backs to the wall. Based on Robert Sherwood’s play, “The Road to Rome,” this offbeat musical received critical acclaim at the time of its release. It not only effectively lampoons “epics,” but Williams even spoofs her own underwater ballets in the “I Had A Dream” sequence. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition, with only some minor fold separations and a Canadian censor stamp.
