Original United Artists Window Card (14×22) for the Jack Webb comedy, THE LAST TIME I SAW ARCHIE (1961)—starring Jack Webb, Robert Mitchum, Martha Hyer, and France Nuyen. By 1960, the popular TV series “Dragnet” had ended, and Jack Webb decided to concentrate on feature films. This feature is a series of comedy vignettes about a stateside camp of “leftovers” from a unit that trained pilots too old for combat duty in World War II. Mitchum plays Pvt. Archie Hall, a petty schemer who is mesmerized by his own feelings of self-importance. Webb plays Pvt. Bill Bowers, who is the “buddy” who goes along for the ride. The film was such a commercial flop that Webb would never make another feature film; rather, he would return to television for the rest of his career. This original window card is in fine plus condition. As is the case with most window cards that are theater used, the name of the theater and playdate are stamped on the card. This original window card was used at the Nona Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.
DIAMOND HEAD (1962) 11048

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Guy Green romantic drama, DIAMOND HEAD (1963) starring Charlton Heston, Yvette Mimieux, George Chakiris, and France Nuyen. Rich Hawaiian pineapple grower and US Senatorial candidate Richard (Heston) tires to control everything and everyone around him, including his headstrong sister Sloane (Mimieux). Heston is a narrow-minded and intolerant racist, obstinately devoted to his own beliefs, even though he is having an affair with a native girl. Filmed in color and wide-screen, the cinematography is stunningly beautiful. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition. It is theater-used with some edge wear and minor smudges, but with good color and no fold separations.
