Three Original Columbia Pictures Lithographed Color Stills (8×10) for the Bill L. Norton drama, CISCO PIKE (1972) starring Kris Kristofferson, Karen Black, Gene Hackman, and Harry Dean Stanton. With a screenplay by Robert Towne, Kristofferson is memorable in his first starring role about a modern day troubadour down on his luck. He is amazingly charismatic and even sympathetic even though he is a drunken pothead who cheats on his girlfriend (Black) and races to unload $10,000 worth of marijuana in a single weekend. The film is a wonderful time capsule of the hippie music scene in L.A. in the early 1970s. These original color stills are in very fine plus condition.

Although there are some problems of historical accuracy, the film is a lively and interesting biography of the famous lawman. The film is a wonderful character study of a man whose innocence and optimism are tested so harshly until all that is left is a used up and bitter man. The film received a single Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography; however, the film also received five Razzie nominations. Indeed, Costner won the Razzie for Worst Actor and the film also won Worst Remake or Sequel. This original one sheet poster is unfolded and in mint condition.

This is an originally 20th Century-Fox Presskit (9 x 11.5) for the 1975 John Frankenheimer action/thriller sequel THE FRENCH CONNECTION II, staring Gene Hackman, Fernando Rey, Bernard Fresson, and Cathleen Nesbitt. Hackman delivers a virtuoso performance as Popeye Doyle—the hard-nosed cop sent to Marseilles to unearth the shifty drug smuggler Alain Charnier (Rey), the man that got away in the original 1971 film. This original presskit is in used but good condition. The cover is worn and has two small tears on the right side. There are 10 different B&W studio action stills (an additional three duplicates are also included) in their original brown protective sleeve.
