Original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Henry Hathaway drama, TEN GENTLEMEN FROM WEST POINT (1942) starring George Montgomery and Maureen O’Hara. West Point was established in 1802, and this story is set a few years later (1808-1811) when Congress was considering closing the Academy. But Henry Clay and Carolyn Bainbidge (O’Hara) lobby to keep the school going. O’Hara’s character is certainly interesting for the period setting. She deftly portrays a character with a feminist slant in a time when there were few feminists. This original stone lithograph one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine plus condition.
