Original Columbia Pictures one sheet poster for the Vincent Sherman film AFFAIR IN TRINIDAD (1952) starring Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, Alexander Scourby and Torin Thatcher. Studio boss Harry Cohn attempted to recaptured the magic of the classic GILDA with this sultry film noir featuring a sensual cabaret star, murder and unexpected romance. The results were quite successful. The poster is in fine plus condition with minor fold separation. Colors are bright. Style B.

Original MGM One Sheet poster for the Burt Kennedy directed movie, THE MONEY TRAP. Sommer was one of the seriously SIXTIES starlets from Europe. She was featured in a variety of films. The poster is better than the film in the case of THE MONEY TRAP. The film was an attempt to resurrect film noir, but failed to attract much interest. The film is one of a long line of “bad cop” movies from movies like ROGUE COP and PUSHOVER in the 1950s all the way to THE DEPARTED. The poster markets the film like a Bond Girl film. Very Fine Condition, folded.

Original insert (14×36) poster for FOLLOW THE SUN (1951) starring Glenn Ford, Anne Baxter, Dennis O’Keefe and June Havoc. Directed by Sidney Lanfield. This inspiring biopic follows the life of golf legend Ben Hogan. The insert poster is distinguished from other posters on the film in that it has a photograph of the actual Mr. Hogan on the poster. We have rated the poster as fine plus because of a slight amount of missing paper in the border area. Otherwise it is quite fine.

Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Delbert Mann comedy, DEAR HEART (1964) starring Glenn Ford, Geraldine Page, and Angela Lansbury. The story is sentimental but still quite believable about two middle-aged people in search of their soul mates. Page certainly gives one of her best performances as a single woman living it up in New York City. The film shows ordinary people with ordinary problems trying to find somebody to love in a world that isn’t always kind to people past their “prime.” The film received a single Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song, “Dear Heart.” This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition—with some wear, pinholes, and one 3″ fold separation.

Original Columbia Pictures Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for Delmer Daves western thriller 3:10 TO YUMA, one of the last great westerns of the 1950s. Recently remade into a popular film starring Russell Crowe, here is the original, starring Glenn Ford as the outlaw and Van Heflin as the man paid to escort him to the gallows. The design of the six sheet is particularly good. The image shown on our photograph shows a former example which we had which had a Belgian censor stamp on the poster. Our present copy is near mint and unused, and with no censor stamp. As we get an opportunity to photograph the poster, we will post. Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Giulio Paradisi sci-fi horror classic, THE VISITOR (1979) starring Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford, Lance Henriksen, and John Huston. Best summarized as the story of a young girl with psychic/telekinetic powers who is sought by the forces of both good an evil, THE VISITOR (released in Italy as STRIDULUM) was not well-received by critics or the general public. Not only was the plot derivative of many blockbusters of the time (THE EXORCIST, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND), but the poster itself irritated moviegoers when the gigantic alien Cyclops featured on the one-sheet made no appearance whatsoever in the film. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition. Marker on the reverse side of the poster is very lightly visible from the front, and one extra fold is lightly evident on the poster.

Original Columbia Pictures Title Lobby Card (11×14) for the Frank R. Strayer western musical comedy, GO WEST, YOUNG LADY (1941)—starring Penny Singleton, Glenn Ford, and Ann Miller. This is one of the rare western comedies that actually makes you laugh. Penny Singleton is an adorably ditzy heroine. Glenn Ford hones his comic skills as the “tenderfoot.” And vivacious Ann Miller steals the show as the sharp-tongued saloon singer. Miller would go on to be one of the top MGM stars. Original Columbia Pictures Title Lobby Card (11×14) for the Frank R. Strayer western comedy, GO WEST, YOUNG LADY (1941) starring Penny Singleton, Glenn Ford, and Ann Miller. This western-swing musical also features the legendary Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys (not pictured.) Ann Miller, a Texas girl who would go on to be one of the greatest of the MGM dance stars, gets a chance to do her thing here. This original title card is in fine plus condition—with only minor smudging, creases, and edge wear.

Original MGM Insert Poster (14×36) for the Curtis Bernhardt musical biography, INTERRUPTED MELODY (1955)– starring Glenn Ford, Eleanor Parker, and Roger Moore. This film is a biographical portrait, told with great sensitivity and warmth, of the career of Australian opera diva Marjorie Lawrence, whose career was cruelly interrupted by polio in the 1930s. Parker gives the performance of her career; indeed, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Ford also delivers a great performance as her doctor husband who guides her back to her career. This original insert poster is in very fine plus condition.
