Original Universal Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11×14) for the Edward Dein horror/sci-fi classic, THE LEECH WOMAN (1960)—starring Coleen Gray, Grant Williams, and Phillip Terry. The story involves an endocrinologist (Terry) who is in a dysfunctional marriage with an aging, alcoholic wife (Gray) and journeys to Africa seeking a drug that will restore his wife’s youth. He discovers the compound, but it must be consumed with fluid from the pineal gland of a newly dead person. A clever story with some unexpected plot twists and a forceful portrayal of the desperate wife by Gray make this film fun to watch. With only some minor staple holes, this original scene lobby card is in fine plus to very fine condition.

Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the John Sherwood sci-fi horror thriller, MONOLITH MONSTERS (1957) starring Lola Albright, Grant Williams, and Les Tremayne. This sci-fi classic is a pleasant change from the giant-creatures-run-amuck and aliens-invade-the-world movies of the 1950s. This film has a unique menace—meteor fragments that grow into huge monoliths when exposed to water and then turn people into stone. It was originally released as a double feature with LOST SLAVES OF THE AMAZONS (1957). CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON director Jack Arnold wrote the original story on which this film is based, and the film also boasted some of the best special effects of the day. The art for this poster is by the immortal Reynold Brown.
