OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the James L. Brooks romantic comedy, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT (1983) starring Debra Winger, Jack Nicholson, and Shirley MacLaine. Both hilarious at times and super serious at others, the film is more of a character study than a story, but some critics have complained that there is no real “resolution” of the tension and dynamics between any of the characters. MacLaine and Winger give career best performances as mother and daughter, polar opposites to each other. Having written many successful TV series, this was James L. Brooks feature film directorial debut. He won the Oscar for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Picture. MacLaine picked up the Oscar for Best Actress, and Nicholson won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Winger and MacLaine were both nominated for Best Actress, and many critics thought they should have shared the award. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.
