OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Universal Pictures one sheet poster for the Mervyn LeRoy film MOMENT BY MOMENT (1965). This mystery thriller, in the style of Alfred Hitchcock, stars Jean Seberg, Sean Garrison, Honor Blackman, and Arthur Hill. A literate, exciting and thoughtful mystery, MOMENT BY MOMENT utilizes the unique talents of Jean Seberg, a true cult star of the 1950s and 1960s who reached Hollywood stardom in Otto Preminger’s SAINT JOAN and captivated international audiences with the classic French nouvelle vague film, BREATHLESS (1959). This poster is in fine plus condition. Theater-used copy has some border distress, no fold separation, but minor pinholes.

PAINT YOUR WAGON (1969) 15086

This is an original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the musical western, PAINT YOUR WAGON (1969) starring Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Jean Seberg, and Harve Presnell. Paramount spared no expense in taking Lerner and Loewe’s successful stage show and beefing it up with new music and arrangements by Nelson Riddle and a new adapted screenplay by Paddy Chayefsky. Though it is hard to imagine Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood singing, they actually do a credible job. Nelson Riddle’s original score was nominated for an Academy Award. But besides the great music, the performances are very good, especially Marvin and Eastwood. There is a snipe on the lower part of the poster which is semi-attached and probably should be removed. This original one sheet poster is therefore in very good condition. Otherwise fine.

SAINT JOAN (1957) 18350

full.Saint Joan LB NM 18350

Original United Artists Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for the Otto Preminger epic biography, SAINT JOAN (1957)—starring Richard Widmark, Richard Todd, Anton Walbrook, and Jean Seberg. Adapted for screen by Graham Greene based on the play by George Bernard Shaw, this film is the story of Saint Joan of Arc, a peasant girl born in eastern France, who led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years’ War (1335-1453) and was indirectly responsible for the coronation of Charles VII. Joan (Seberg in her film debut) is presented as a divinely inspired innocent while the all-male ensemble that surround her are all scheming, Machiavellian opportunists who treat religion as a tool to be used and manipulated for their own ends. Joan is portrayed as both saint and madwoman, while Widmark portrays the future king of France in a frenzied and comic caricature. With stunning art by legendary Saul Bass, this original six sheet poster is linen-backed and in near mint condition.
