Original Paramount Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11×14) for the John Farrow film noir, CALCUTTA (1947) starring Alan Ladd, Gail Russell, William Bendix, and June Duprez. Ladd and Bendix play cargo pilots working the route from India to China and trying to solve the murder of a fellow pilot. The film turned out to be Ladd’s most successful film of the 1940s, grossing more that even THE BLUE DALHIA (1946). This original scene lobby card is in very fine plus condition.

Produced by the legendary Alexander Korda, this exceptional British film has been described as one of the best fantasy films of all time. Raoul Walsh originally brought this story to the silent screen in 1924 starring Douglas Fairbanks, but this version was in glorious Technicolor with some of the most outstanding special effects of the time. Indeed, the film won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Special Effects. This truly magical film still entertains audiences today—young and old. This 1978 re-release poster is the work of artist Bruce Emmett who is known for his ability to produce new illustrations with a vintage feel. This rerelease one sheet poster is in very fine condition.
