Original French Re-Release One Panel (47×63) for the Jack Sher animation adventure, GULLIVER’S TRAVELS (1960) also titled 3 WORLDS OF GULLIVER in the U.S. Kerwin Matthews is the lead actor in this retelling of Jonathan Swift’s satirical story, but the real star is special effects guru Ray Harryhausen, who brought his special art and gifts to the classic story of a giant among the Little People and The Giants. This story has been made many times over the years, once as an animated film by Dave Fleischer (1939.) Mostly these versions have been made into family-friendly adventure stories and 3 WORLDS OF GULLIVER is no exception. This French one panel is absolutely charming, but it has some significant fold separations. We recommend linen backing. Ask us about poster restoration and conservation. This poster will look great once it has been restored because the image is intact and the colors are vivid. The edition is an early re-release; the printer Richier Laugier, Paris. The art is by Jean Mascii, but the re-release poster is unsigned. The original poster on this title has some additional art and color tableau, but in our opinion this poster is better! One of those unusual instances in which a re-release poster is better than the original.

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Michael Carreras horror-mystery, MANIAC (1963)‚ starring Kerwin Mathews, Nadia Gray, Donald Houston, and Liliane Brousse. In the wake of Hitchcock’s PSYCHO (1960), the British horror kings, Hammer Film Productions, decided to make a series of thrillers, including this film, that featured real or imagined madness, murder, sex, and deception‚ all with numerous and unexpected plot twists to keep the audience guessing. This truly twisted story of intrigue and unrequited love has a stark, creepy, noir-like quality to it. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition with only a few minor fold separations and edge wear.
