Original Universal Pictures Advance One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Joseph Sargent horror thriller, JAWS: THE REVENGE (1987) starring Lorraine Gary, Lance Guest, Mario Van Peebles, and Michael Caine. This is the fourth in the Jaws series and has some stunning photography and even an excellent score by Michael Small, which injects dramatic tension into many scenes. In the original film, Steven Spielberg kept shots of the shark to an absolute minimum in keep the audience from seeing the flaws in the mechanical shark. There is no such pretense in this version; indeed, Sargent keeps the camera on the shark for more than enough time to see all the flaws. According to this film, the events in JAWS 3 never occurred, and you are expected to believe that this murderous shark has followed Ellen Brody (Gary) all the way to the Bahamas for revenge. This original advance one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition—with only edge distresses, uneven folds, and some minor bleed through from a stain on the reverse side.

Video gaming teenager Alex (Guest) becomes the top player of an arcade game called “Starfighter.” When he meets the game’s inventor (Preston), he gets unintentionally conscripted into a real combat to save the universe from invasion. With a good story, credible performances, and great special effects for the day—this sci-fi film is very entertaining. This original advance one sheet poster is in very fine condition.
