Original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for the John Ford western masterpiece, MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946) starring Henry Fonda, Linda Darnell, Victor Mature, and Cathy Downs. Adapted from Stuart Lake’s book “Wyatt Earp, Frontier Marshal,” the film tells the story of Wyatt Earp and his brothers who decide in 1882 to settle in Tombstone after their cattle are rustled and their younger brother James is killed. Earp who had already served as a marshal gladly accepts the position in Tombstone along with brothers as deputies. Marshal Earp has several run-ins with Ike Clanton and his sons. When Earp is forced to kill Billy Clanton, it leads to the famous shoot-out at the OK Corral. Some critics have dubbed this film the finest western ever made, and certainly the film represents a high point in the careers of all involved. Ford’s excellent direction creates a perfect blend of drama, action, romance, and occasional comic relief. This original stone lithograph six sheet poster is linen-backed and in near mint condition.

This was originally an action-packed 3D movie produced during the first attempt by the studios to create a unique movie-going magnet designed to pull viewers away from their newly acquired TV sets. The excitement in SECOND CHANCE takes place south of the border with a suspenseful scene aboard an aerial tramway climaxing the film. The poster is in good condition and the image area is fine. The Belgian censor stamps are attached. The top of the poster has been trimmed.

Original 20th Century-Fox Insert Poster (14×36) for the John Cromwell romantic biography, ANNA AND THE KING OF SIAM (1946)—starring Irene Dunn, Rex Harrison, Linda Darnell, Lee J. Cobb, and Gale Sondergaard. This was the first of three films and one short-lived TV series based on the popular novel of Margaret Landon. It is the fascinating story of English governess Anna Owen (Dunne) who becomes the royal tutor to the children of King Mongkut (Harrison) of Siam in 1862. Besides the charming screenplay, the performances are outstanding, the direction intimate and compassionate, the art direction and costumes sumptuous, and the cinematography breathtaking. Indeed, the film was nominated for five Academy Awards and received the Oscar for Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. This poster is in fine plus condition. A small tear in the border has been repaired with archival tissue.

This charming and funny commentary on modern married life begins when three wives receive a letter stating that the town floozy has run off with one of their husbands—but which one. This wonderful film with witty dialogue and wonderful comic situations was nominated for Best Picture, and Joseph Mankiewicz won the Academy Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. This original title card is in very fine condition.
