OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Otto Preminger drama, TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME, JUNIE MOON (1970) starring Liza Minnelli, Ken Howard, Robert Moore, and James Coco. The film brings together a trio of social outcasts– an epileptic (Howard), a paraplegic homosexual (Moore), and a facially scared party girl (Minnelli) trying to live an make a life with each other. Minnelli’s highly emotional performance was due in part to the death of her mother, Judy Garland, during the filming. Bob Dylan was supposed to write and sing the title song, but turned the project down after seeing the film. With original artwork by McKean Kleeger, this original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

Original Allied Artists 1974 Re-Release One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Bob Fosse iconic musical, CABARET (1972) starring Liza Minnelli, Michael York, Helmut Griem, and Joel Grey. Based on the Christopher Isherwood story, “A Goodbye to Berlin,” this film tells the story of American entertainer Sally Bowles who comes to decadent Berlin of the early 1930s and goes to work at The Kit-Kat Club. She is the same kind of character as Marlene Dietrich’s famous archetype in “The Blue Angel”—a heartless vamp who drives men crazy and then throws them away like toys. The film works wonderfully on a historical level, on a personal story level, as well as on a purely entertainment level. Fosse recreates in living detail the grotesque sleaze of Berlin’s lowlife during the rise of Nazism. Nominated for ten Academy Awards including Best Picture, it won eight Oscars including Best Director to Fosse, Best Actress to Minnelli, and Best Supporting Actor to Grey. This original re-release one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT (1974) 20453

full.thatsentertainment-40x60-20453

Original MGM 40×60 Poster for the Jack Haley Jr. musical documentary, THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT. Released in 1974, amidst the Watergate scandal and growing public cynicism, THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT! was among the most popular films of the year. This retrospective of MGM musicals features an A-list cast of hosts and narrators, including Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Liza Minnelli and other MGM stars reminiscing on the backlot of the studio, the last time a film was shot on the MGM backlot. THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT! is really nothing more than excerpts from musicals such as SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, THE GREAT ZIEGFELD, BROADWAY MELODY OF 1938, STRIKE UP THE BAND, ANCHORS AWEIGH, GIGI, etc., but the format was so popular that it spawned THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT! PART II (1976) and THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT! PART III (1994), and inspired THAT’S DANCING! (1985). The tagline for the publicity campaign: “Boy! Do We Need It Now” was prescient. And not inappropriate for our own angst-ridden era. This original 40×60 poster is rolled and in very fine condition, with just some minor tears on the borders. THIS IS A 40X60 INCH POSTER, rolled, and thus it is large!
