Raye plays Boss Witch (Queen of Witchdom) and Cass Elliot (in her only feature film performance) plays Witch Hazel. In this fun comedy, Marlowe Booth (Brown) and Martha Madison (Raye) are two unsuccessful actors starting a drama college, but find they can’t attract any applicants without forming a football team. When the other colleges refuse to play them, Booth and Madison arrange a match against a pro team and bet the bank on the college. The New York Times called it a “painfully witless football farce of fantastic unoriginality” and it seems most people agreed. A young Susan Hayward has a secondary role as the “romance teacher.” Folded. Very good to fine condition.
