Original Universal Pictures Window Card (14×22) for the Mickey Rooney and Albert Zugsmith comedy, THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ADAM AND EVE (1960)—starring Rooney, Mamie Van Doren, Fay Spain, Mel Torme, and Martin Milner. This is certainly one of the strangest films ever made, even for the 1960s. It has a color dream sequence where Van Doren and Milner dream they are Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Alternately clever and lame, this peculiar comedy provides mild amusement, with loads of double entendres and Rooney leering around in a silly snake suit as “The Devil.” This original window card is in fine condition—with some tape stains and stamped with the theater and playdate. The window card was used at the Nona Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.
GIRLS TOWN (1959) 2763

Original MGM One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Charles F. Haas teen melodrama, GIRLS TOWN (1959)—starring Mamie Van Doren, Mel Torme, and Paul Anka. This was one of many films produced by Albert Zugsmith in the late 50s and early 60s that combined some of the best psychotronic personalities of the period with trendy rock music and outlandish plots. Here we have sassy Mamie Van Doren who is accused of pushing her boyfriend over a cliff and is sent to a home run by nuns for young women in trouble with the law. This great trash fest also features Mel Torme as the leader of a motorcycle gang who drinks milk and bosses women around. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition—with minor fold separations and a missing chip out of the border area. A great candidate for linen-backing.
