One of the many attempts by the big studios to cash in on the success of the “beach party” movies, this film chronicles a bunch of college surfers who hang out at a club watching Uncle Woody and drinking Pepsis. Original MGM One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Norman Taurog action musical, SPEEDWAY (1968) starring Elvis Presley, Bill Bixby, and Nancy Sinatra. Elvis sings his way around the stock car race circuit as a successful speedway driver. But his manager (Bixby) gambles away all his earnings and files questionable tax returns. Nancy Sinatra plays the IRS agent assigned to review his return and collect any back taxes. Elvis sings some great songs, including “Let Yourself GO,” and Nancy Sinatra sings “Your Groovy Self.” This original one sheet poster is in fine plus condition.
