Original MGM One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Charles F. Haas teen melodrama, GIRLS TOWN (1959)—starring Mamie Van Doren, Mel Torme, and Paul Anka. This was one of many films produced by Albert Zugsmith in the late 50s and early 60s that combined some of the best psychotronic personalities of the period with trendy rock music and outlandish plots. Here we have sassy Mamie Van Doren who is accused of pushing her boyfriend over a cliff and is sent to a home run by nuns for young women in trouble with the law. This great trash fest also features Mel Torme as the leader of a motorcycle gang who drinks milk and bosses women around. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition—with minor fold separations and a missing chip out of the border area. A great candidate for linen-backing.

Original Columbia Pictures Complete Lobby Card Set (11×14) for the Harry Foster music drama, LET’S ROCK (1958) starring Julius LaRosa, Phyllis Newman, Conrad Janis, Joy Harmon, and Paul Anka. This swinging little picture stars Julius LaRosa as a young crooner who resists the rock and roll trend until his girlfriend (Phyllis Newman) convinces him to accept and integrate it—and yes it is dated. The rockers in the movie are not the likes of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, or Little Richard, but Paul Anka, Danny and the Juniors, and Wink Martindale. By today’s standards the level and quality of “rocking” that occurs in this movie is debatable, but LET’S ROCK remains a peppy, good spirited film about going with the flow. Fine condition, mostly smudged. Could use cleaning. Theater-used.
