1990 reissue Walt Disney Productions Insert Poster (14×36) for the James Algar and Samuel Armstrong music animation masterpiece, FANTASIA (1940) starring Leopold Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra and narrated by Deems Taylor. This was the first feature film shown in multi-channel sound, since the music was extremely important to the whole FANTASIA experience. Some critics consider this series of fanciful stories built around seven pieces of classical music to be not only the best animated film ever made but also one of the greatest films period. Certainly this film was one of the highlights of Walt Disney’s distinguished career. This 1990 unfolded insert poster was created for the re-release of the film in digital stereo. For this release the Disney Studio decided to use the original Stokowski recordings, but to process the sound for digital stereo. Very fine plus condition.
