The mermaid princess Ariel makes a deal with the evil Ursula to leave the underwater kingdom and pursue her human love interest, Prince Eric. For years prior to THE LITTLE MERMAID, Disney’s animated features had been commercial and critical failures. This film marked the beginning of another hugely successful series of animated Disney films in the early 90s, including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1991), ALADDIN (1992), and THE LION KING (1994). This original 1997 re-release advance one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition.

This film brought the Disney studios out of a long slump and spurred a comeback for animated features. Not only was the animation gorgeous, but the music was memorable as well. Indeed, the film won the Academy Awards for Best Musical Score to Alan Menken and Best Original Song (“Under the Sea”) to Menken and Howard Ashman. This authentic rolled double-sided one sheet poster is for the re-release of the film in 1997 and is in very fine condition.
