Original MGM Three Sheet Poster (41×81) for the Mervyn LeRoy musical comedy, LATIN LOVERS (1953) starring Lana Turner, Ricardo Montalban, John Lund, and Louis Calhern. Turner plays a woman with everything—including $37 million she has just inherited. But she can’t tell if men pretend to love her just for her money. She meets and falls for Montalban on a trip to Brazil. Turner was gorgeous in the film, and costume designer Helen Rose had the inspiration to dress her in combinations of black and white. She was striking in contrast to her ultra-lush Technicolor trappings. This original three sheet poster is folded and in very good condition. The poster is in two sections –never really assembled but probably used at a theater. It has some fold separation and some small tears and pinholes. We recommend linen backing for this poster. THE MONEY TRAP (1965) 11398

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original MGM One Sheet poster for the Burt Kennedy directed movie, THE MONEY TRAP. Sommer was one of the seriously SIXTIES starlets from Europe. She was featured in a variety of films. The poster is better than the film in the case of THE MONEY TRAP. The film was an attempt to resurrect film noir, but failed to attract much interest. The film is one of a long line of “bad cop” movies from movies like ROGUE COP and PUSHOVER in the 1950s all the way to THE DEPARTED. The poster markets the film like a Bond Girl film. Very Fine Condition, folded.

BLUE (1968) 18510

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for Silvio Narizzano’s offbeat western, BLUE (1968) starring Terence Stamp, Joanna Pettet, Karl Malden, Sally Kirkland an Ricardo Montalban. Very much a product of its time, BLUE is distinctively an adult, introspective western film featuring then red-hot actor Terence Stamp (he’d recently worked with directors as diverse as John Schlesinger, Pasolini, Joseph Losey and Ken Loach), as a Mexican-American bandido trying to go clean north of the border with the help of a beautiful woman. The tragic ending is not unusual for films of that particular era. This one sheet is folded and in very fine condition.

STAR TREK II THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982) 20966

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Nicholas Meyer science fiction adventure, STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982) starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, and Ricardo Montalban. This is the second Star Trek movie and is based on one of the best episodes for the original TV series. Kirk, now an admiral, is experiencing some sort of mid-life crisis when he takes control of the Enterprise for what seemed like a routine mission. But an old enemy shows up unexpectedly. Khan, obsessively played by Montalban, is a genetically engineered super warrior hell bent on revenge. This original one sheet poster is in very fine to near mint condition.

SAYONARA (1957) 1067

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Warner Brothers Insert Poster (14×36) for Joshua Logan’s romantic drama SAYONARA (1957) starring Marlon Brando, Patricia Owens, Red Buttons, Miyoshi Umeki, Ricardo Montalban, Miiko Taka, Martha Scott and James Garner. This adaptation of James Michener’s novel of service men in post-WWII Japan was a tremendous hit both critically and commercially winning Academy Awards for Supporting Actors Red Buttons and Miyoshi Umeki. In many ways, this bittersweet tale of love between American military men and Japanese women served as a cathartic sort of healing process after the horrors of the war in the Pacific. The poster is in good condition only, folded. Note: playdate has been spray painted on background area. The poster has been priced accordingly. No returns will be accepted on this poster.
