Original United Artists One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Charles Reisner drama, WINTER CARNIVAL (1939) starring Ann Sheridan, Richard Carlson, Helen Parrish, and James Corner. Set during Dartmouth College’s Winter Carnival, the film stars the beautiful Ann Sheridan. Because the film was produced by one of Hollywood’s first independent producers, Walter Wanger, it lacks the contingent of oft-seen character actors who would have been cast had the film been produced by one of the major studios. Yet the film has enjoyed a following over the years from Sheridan fans. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition, with only minor edge wear and fold separations. There have been several re-releases of this film, but original 1939 one sheets are scarce. One of the prettiest Ann Sheridan posters.

Original United Artists Stone Lithograph One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Alfred E. Green military academy drama, THE DUKE OF WEST POINT (1938) starring Louis Hayward, Joan Fontaine, Tom Brown, and Richard Carlson. The titular “Duke” is actually an American raised in England and schooled at Cambridge who goes to West Point only because of family tradition. But the “snob” does have a heart of gold, and the audience largely sees him through the eyes of his “everyman” roommates (Brown and Carlson). This original stone lithograph one sheet poster is in good condition.

This is an original Universal International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Jack Arnold sci-fi horror classic, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954), starring Richard Carlson, Julie Adams, and Ben Chapman as the humanoid amphibious fish creature dubbed “Gill-Man.” This popular film with its eerie music and underwater photography captured the interest of sci-fi audiences and in the process practically saved Universal from bankruptcy in the 1950′s. With skillful direction by Jack Arnold and wonderful music – some of it by Henry Mancini – this film turned into an immediate cult classic still being enjoyed even today. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine plus condition. One of the great science fiction film posters in super condition. Very desired.

Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Douglas Sirk melodrama, ALL I DESIRE (1953) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Carlson, Lyle Bettger, Marcia Henderson, Lori Nelson, and Maureen O’Sullivan. This well-crafted film is the story of Naomi Murdock (Stanwyck) who deserted her small-town family in 1900 to go on the stage. Ten years later her daughter Lilly (Nelson) invited her mother back to see her in the high school play. Barbara Stanwyck is always a compelling screen presence, and she brings subtlety and authenticity to this role. Originally folded, this one sheet poster is in very fine plus condition.
