LOST HIGHWAY (1997) 19926

full-losthighway-1sh-cons

Original October Films One Sheet Poster (27×40) for the David Lynch psychological thriller, LOST HIGHWAY (1997) starring Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, Robert Blake, Robert Loggia, and Balthazar Getty. This fantastic blend of weirdness, violence, and erotica tells the strange story of a jazz saxophonist (Pullman) who is framed for the murder of his wife and sent to prison, where he inexplicably morphs into a young auto mechanic (Getty) and begins a new life. The film appears to be a very stylish realization of a nightmare; although, it is shot like a film-noir with Arquette as the femme fatale. Some have dismissed LOST HIGHWAY as just a movie about schizophrenia, while others have searched for deeper and hidden meanings. This original single-sided one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition. Absolutely authentic.

This is an original MGM One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Herbert Glazer comedy short, MIGHTY LAK A GOAT (1942) starring Robert Blake, John Dilson, Ava Gardner, and Spanky McFarland. Yes, that’s right – Ava Gardner. Gardner makes a cameo appearance in this short as the cashier who sells The Gang tickets to a movie! This is one of the later shorts in the famous “Our Gang/Little Rascals” series. Created by Hal Roach in 1922, the series showcases kids just being themselves. The series was officially called both “Our Gang” and “Hal Roach’s Rascals” until 1932, when “Our Gang” became the sole title of the series. In 1938 Roach sold the series to MGM, who continued to produce comedy shorts in the series for another five years. In the mid-50s, the original Roach shorts were syndicated for television under the title “The Little Rascals.” MIGHTY LAK A GOAT is one of the best of all of the “Our Gang” shorts, and Spanky only appeared in one more film in the series. This original stone lithograph one sheet poster is signed by Spanky McFarland and is in fine condition.
