With a better than usual cast, Hammer Films creats a particularly strong entry in their ongoing Frankenstein series with this Victorian tale of science, madness, drug use and brain transplantation. Veteran actor Peter Cushing plays the Baron, this time involved in a plot to save his former medical partner, now insane and confined to a London asylum. The monster in this film, sympathetically portrayed by Freddie Jones, manages to evoke a fine balance between pity and terror. The poster is in very fine condition with minor pin holes.
