Original Belgian Poster (14×22) for the Raoul Walsh war drama, BATTLE CRY (1955) starring Van Heflin, Aldo Ray, Mona Freeman, and Nancy Olson. Based on a novel by Leon Uris who also wrote the screenplay, the film tells the stories of a group of men who join the U. S. Marines in 1942 and their subsequent exploits in war and love. The film was a huge box office success for Warner Brothers, becoming a particular hit with war veterans. This original Belgian poster is in fine plus condition, with some minor edge and surface wear.

Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Curtis Bernhardt film noir thriller, POSSESSED (1947) starring Joan Crawford, Van Heflin, and Raymond Massey. Psychological thrillers were all the rage after the end of World War II. In this film Crawford plays a woman who becomes obsessed with Van Heflin—leading her to hallucinations, hysteria, and finally a breakdown. This film is certainly one of Joan Crawford’s best performances of her career, and her lively portrayal garnered her the first of her three nominations for Best Actress. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition.

Original MGM Insert Poster (14×36) for the George Sidney action adventure, THE THREE MUSKETEERS (1948) starring Lana Turner, Gene Kelly, June Allyson, Van Heflin, and Vincent Price. Adapted from the celebrated novel by Alexandre Dumas, this film chronicles the musketeers as they thwart the plans of the evil Cardinal Richelieu (Price) to usurp the king’s power and authority. Turner gives her finest performance as the notorious Lady De Winter who lies, steals, and murders her way from France to England. Kelly also hits the mark with his very athletic portrayal of the hotheaded but good-hearted D’Artagan. Loaded with exciting sword fights and other action scenes, this colorful swashbuckling adventure romance is visually great entertainment. The film received an Academy Award nomination was for Best Cinematography. This original insert poster is folded and in very fine condition.

Original Columbia Pictures Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for Delmer Daves western thriller 3:10 TO YUMA, one of the last great westerns of the 1950s. Recently remade into a popular film starring Russell Crowe, here is the original, starring Glenn Ford as the outlaw and Van Heflin as the man paid to escort him to the gallows. The design of the six sheet is particularly good. The image shown on our photograph shows a former example which we had which had a Belgian censor stamp on the poster. Our present copy is near mint and unused, and with no censor stamp. As we get an opportunity to photograph the poster, we will post. Or, if you are interested, contact us and we will send you a photo. Very fine to near mint condition. One of the best western six sheets we have found. Rare in this size.

How’s that for heat? Adapted from a novel by Zekial Marko, director Nelson suffuses the atmosphere with mid-60′s jive beginning with a crazy-cool drum solo. It’s like French New Wave meets American Beatnik. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition, with only a few pinholes but no fold separations.

Original MGM Title Lobby Card (11×14) for the Mervyn LeRoy crime drama, EAST SIDE, WEST SIDE (1949)—starring Barbara Stanwyck, James Mason, Van Heflin, and Ava Gardner. This part melodrama part murder mystery is told from the point of view of a lady of leisure (Stanwyck) whose husband (Mason) is a habitual philanderer. Former mistress Gardner comes to town determined to win back Mason and willing to stop at nothing to do so. And thanks to good acting from the entire cast and adept directing from LeRoy, this involving story really comes alive. This original title card is in very good condition, with only minor edge wear and some tape on the reverse side of the card.
