This grand and opulent saga recounts the life of Pu Yi, once the child Emperor of China, following his young, dissolute life and exploitation by the Japanese in WWII through his inevitable disgrace at the hands of the Maoist revolutionaries of the Cultural Revolution. Bertolucci’s film was his greatest international success garnering multiple Academy Awards. The artwork on this Polish poster is colorful, dramatic and striking in its rendering of Lone’s character.
