Written and Directed by John Milius, this film about the gangster John Dillinger has little to offer in the way of accuracy. Dillinger was the subject of several films, but this one seems to have totally fantasized the subject. The movie is lavishly mounted with lots of antique cars and costumes. The wonderful Warren Oates plays Dillinger, but is largely wasted. This poster shows Oates with his machine gun. Very good condition with a some rumpling.

Original Columbia Pictures Style B One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Ivan Reitman war comedy, STRIPES (1981)—starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Warren Oates, P. J. Soles, and John Candy. Two losers—John (Murray) and his best friend Russell (Ramis) decide to join the army. John becomes a defacto leader in his basic training platoon as we follow the two misfits through training to their first assignment. This film is yet another in a long line of army comedies that started with Chaplin back in the silent days. This film was originally conceived as a vehicle for Cheech and Chong but was eventually rewritten for Murray and Ramis. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition, with only some scotch tape on the top border which should be removed.

This is the story of an American bartender and his prostitute girlfriend who together go on a road trip through the Mexican underworld to collect a bounty on the head of a dead gigolo. Oates’ performance is flawless as a man who goes on an alcohol-fueled journey into dissolution and redemption. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition.
