Based the immortal play by Sir James Barrie, this film is one of the best Disney movies of all time and certainly one of the iconic films of the Baby Boom Generation. The Disney version of the story is light and breezy and moves at a quick pace. When Peter, Wendy, and her two brothers leap out of the nursery window and fly over Edwardian London at night, the audience is treated to some of the most charming animation ever created for film. Later parts of the movie are equally enchanting, and the villainous Captain Hook is brought to great comic life by the Disney animators and the marvelous vocal talent of Conreid. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Belgian 1975 Re-Release Poster (13×21) for the Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson animation classic, ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1951) starring the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, and Sterling Holloway. This wonderful Disney version of the Lewis Carroll children’s story is actually a combination of the two books, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass.” Except for a fairly normal Alice, all of the other characters are slightly twisted and strangely funny. The character designs and animation are beautiful, and the songs are also wonderful. Indeed, the film’s only Academy Award nomination was Best Musical Score for Oliver Wallace. This original re-release Belgian poster is unfolded and in very fine condition.

Original Walt Disney Productions Three Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Clyde Geronimi animated fairy tale, SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959) starring the voices of Mary Costa, Bill Shirley, and Eleanor Audley. This feature was in active production from 1951 until the end of 1958 and was the last Disney animated feature to have cels inked by hand. The beautiful art direction is inspired by European medieval paintings and architecture, and the elaborate background paintings took between seven and ten days to paint. SLEEPING BEAUTY was perhaps the first animated feature released in 70mm, in large part to present the music in stereo. Though much of the soundtrack in based on the Tchaikovsky ballet, George Bruns received an Academy Award nomination for Best Musical Score for his original songs. The poster is folded and not linen backed and is very fine plus condition with some signs of use. Some pinholes indicate that the poster was once theater-used. Colors are vivid. Three sheets are published generally on two panels which are then joined together to make one poster. This poster therefore is comprised of two separate panels. MovieArt can recommend a conservation studio if linen-backing is desired.
