Original Belgian Poster (14×22) for the Edward Ludwig action adventure, WAKE OF THE RED WITCH (1948) starring John Wayne, Gail Russell, Gig Young, Adele Mara, and Luther Adler. Set in the Dutch West Indies around 1860, the story revolves around a bitter rivalry between sea captain Wayne and ship owner Adler. Wayne plays one of the most sinister and cruelest characters of his career. He is alternately charming and broodingly malevolent, given to alcohol-fueled bouts of violence and self-loathing, his motivations often morally ambiguous. This original Belgian poster is linen-backed and in very fine plus condition.

Original MGM One Sheet Poster (27×41) for Edward Ludwig’s youth musical, BORN TO SING (1942) starring Virginia Weidler, Ray McDonald, Leo Gorcey, Rags Ragland, Sheldon Leonard, Margaret Dumont, Douglas McPhail and Darla Hood. In the style of Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney, some of MGM’s junior league performers have a chance to “put on a show” of their own in the charming piece of nostalgia from the Culver City backlot. The poster is folded and in very good condition.

Original 20th Century Fox Title Lobby Card (11×14) for the Edward Ludwig and Harold D. Schuster war drama, BOMBER’S MOON (1943) starring George Montgomery, Annabella, and Kent Taylor. Montgomery stars as an American bomber pilot, stationed in England, who, on a bombing run over Germany, is forced to bail out. His brother, who serves with him, is killed and after his own capture, Montgomery is held prisoner by the Germans in an old castle. A war movie which becomes an espionage film, as Euro-star Annabella is revealed as a fellow prisoner, a Russian spy and – surprise – a woman in disguise. This original title card is in very good condition—with some surface and edge wear, smudging, and pinholes.
