Indeed, the plot of the film centers around a detective who goes after a ring of phony “mediums” who are trying to swindle a rich widow out of her fortune. The card is in fine plus condition with some minor edgewear and some small pinholes. A rare card.

If you like Doberman Pinschers, here’s your poster. Not expensive, this poster cries out for linen-backing to spruce it up. Not a great movie, but what there is of it is stolen by Rodney, the Doberman. Carole Landis plays a female detective with a snooping dog as a partner. When this duo gets accused of robbery they are joined by newspaper reporter Allyn Joslyn, hot on the trail of the real culprits. A dog helps to sell a dog like this — the film, not the poster! Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Herbert I. Leeds war drama, MANILA CALLING (1942) starring Lloyd Nolan, Carole Landis, and Cornel Wilde. When the Japanese capture the principal radio station of the American Radio Communications Company in the Philippines, the staff manages to escape into the jungle. They decide to hide in the mountains rather than surrender and go to a Japanese prison camp. Originally folded, this stone lithograph one sheet poster is in fine plus condition with only minor fold separations at the intersection and a missing chip in the upper border. This poster was part of the famous Royal Theater Collection.

Original 20th Century-Fox Insert Poster (14×36) for the Herbert I. Leeds classic western, RIDE ON VAQUERO (1941) starring Cesar Romero, Mary Beth Hughes, and Lynne Roberts. Romero plays the popular western character The Cisco Kid, based on a fictional western character created by O. Henry in his 1907 short story, ” The Caballero’s Way.” Romero began the series in 1939 and played the character successfully in five more films. In this film, The Cisco Kid is enlisted by the U.S. Cavalry to help them identify a kidnapping gang. This insert poster was originally folded and is very good plus condition.
