Original 20th Century Fox Scene Lobby Card (11×14) for the John M. Stahl drama, THE FOXES OF HARROW (1947)—starring Rex Harrison, Maureen O’Hara, and Richard Haydn. Based on the popular novel by Frank Yerby, this film tells the story of Stephen Fox (Harrison), an orphan boy from Ireland who comes to America and makes his own fortune in the early 1800s. He courts the reluctant Odalie (O’Hara) and finally wins her over. While the film makes no apologies for the institution of slavery that haunts the background of almost every scene, Fox sets out to establish a more benevolent attitude toward the slaves after he wins the plantation in a lucky game of cards. This original portrait card of O’Hara and Harrison is in very good condition, with only some pinholes and minor tears and edge wear in the borders.

Original 20th Century Fox Colo-gloss Scene Lobby Card (11×15) for the John M. Stahl war drama, IMMORTAL SERGEANT (1943)—starring Henry Fonda, Maureen O’Hara, and Thomas Mitchell. Darryl Zanuck, head of 20th Century Fox, begged Fonda to make this war propaganda film because he thought it would rally the home front and also be an inspiration to the fighting troops. In his memoirs, Fonda admitted hating this film about all others in his career. This original scene card is in very fine to near mint condition.
