Six original 8×10 black and white for the indy classic SLACKER directed by Richard Linklater and starring Richard Linklater, Jean Caffeine and a host of Austin Texas “slackers” from two decades ago. One still features Austin Chronicle editor Louis Black. Made on a shoestring, the film is now firmly ensconced in the Independent Feature Firmament and is available on the prestigious Criterion Collection DVD. Linklater made a film that captured that moment just before Austin was to become an International Crossroads for the tech, music and media crowd. Many local folk appeared in the film. Linklater paints a charming and idiosyncratic picture of The Austin That Was. The film was picked up by Orion Classics, essentially launching Linklater’s career as one of the most fondly regarded indy directors. These stills are in excellent condition. Reasonably scarce.

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×40) for the Richard Linklater romantic drama, BEFORE SUNRISE (1995) starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. This film is the simple and beautiful story of a young man and a young woman who meet each other for the first time on a train in Europe and wind up spending one romantic evening together in Vienna. Deftly written by Linklater and Kim Krizan, this mostly dialogue-based film is an incredibly brave and honest look at relationships. This very pretty original rolled one sheet poster is in fine plus condition.
