This film is the tenth in the Universal series of twelve Sherlock Holmes films. In this story, Holmes and Watson are recruited to escort the heir of a European throne back to his native country following his father’s assassination. This unusual Holmes movie has a musical component; indeed, there are no less than four complete songs sung in the film, with Nigel Bruce getting in on one of them. This original three sheet poster is in fine condition. Linen backed on an older linen, which nevertheless presents beautifully.

Ignoring an ancient prophecy, evil brother Gregor seeks to maintain feudal power on his Tyrolean estate by murdering and impersonating his benevolent younger twin. Karloff , in one of the best performances of his career, plays both the monstrous and benign brothers, but also portrays the nasty brother imitating the gentle one. This very, very rare portrait lobby card of Boris Karloff is in very fine condition with only multiple pinholes in the border area.
